Hey, I am Nadya

I know that usually, these sections on websites are meant to say something authoritative. Instead, I want to share a little about myself so you can better understand the person behind the camera.

I was born in a small place where the sun doesn’t rise in winter and shines around the clock in summer. I grew up in a place where nature is always close, and because of that, nature has been my greatest inspiration from then until now. The northern lights, the fragility and crackle of thin, transparent ice, the foamy cold seawater near greenish stones, blueberry juice on my hands (and probably on my clothes too!), the scent of wild rosemary, and the sparkle of snow. I’m a romantic at heart, and my photos are also tender, natural, and nostalgic.

I’ve been passionate about photography since childhood. I asked my aunt and uncle to get me a camera for my birthday, and they gave me a small digital camera that ended up documenting much of my childhood and teenage years.

I think photography is like a chapter in a book. It has a beginning, a plot, details, and narration. Every shoot becomes something we’ll look back on in 2, 5, 10, or 20 years—and later, something for our children, grandchildren, and loved ones to cherish as part of their history.

Photography lets us touch moments we could never otherwise see. I flip through albums of my parents’ photos—their wedding, the way my grandparents changed over time. In the earliest photos, they’re young and laughing together, surrounded by guests. Then there are photos with their kids—the first, second, and third child. In the last family pictures, my grandparents are older, and now I’m in them too, though still a little one. My greatest treasure is seeing those faces, feeling the love for my family again and again. Seeing what they built, how they cared, how deeply they loved, and how all of that ultimately shaped who I am.

As a photographer, I want to be your thoughtful guide in capturing your love, your everyday life, your connections. To capture your true feelings and emotions in a way that’s authentically you.

I can’t wait to meet you!
